Hi there! I’m McKenzie Harris, a media specialist at Florida State University passionate about sharing the importance of scientific and humanities research. My goal is to increase the impact of research by helping the general public understand how research results affect them, whether that’s through policy change, the state of the environment, the social economy, and more. Now more than ever, science needs to be accessible, inclusive, compelling, and most of all, memorable.

As a communicator in the oldest and largest college on FSU’s campus, my expertise spans the following departments and programs: aerospace studies, anthropology, biological science, chemistry and biochemistry, classics, computer science, earth, ocean and atmospheric science, English, history, mathematics, military science, modern languages and linguistics, philosophy, physics, psychology, religion, scientific computing, statistics and more. With my home base in the sunshine state, I’m especially interested in communicating environmental, biological, and conservation science and its related research.
